Turnagain Social Club is an adult day center that provides therapeutic activities, personal care, supervision, nursing services, transportation and meals, for those whom are disabled or seniors ages 55 and older.

With Alaska’s senior population growing faster than the rest of the country, Adult Day Services are needed now more than ever. To top it off, Anchorages Alzheimer’s numbers are also on the rise, requiring more specialized caregivers who understand the many types of dementia and their care needs. With a Registered Nurse on staff, a dietician, and over 30 caregivers, we provide the critical attention you and your loved one need.

Owner and President, Koreen Mateaki, Registered Nurse, has 21 years of experience working with geriatric populations, cardiology, internal medicine, urgent care, pediatrics, home health, hospice, emergency nursing, and running two assisted living homes. She is also trained as an emergency medical technician.

During her career, she recognized there was a need for high-quality adult day facilities and specialized services in a therapeutic environment in Anchorage. This was what led her to open Turnagain Social Club in late 2016.

Our state of the art facility has multiple activity rooms with new programs in each, 16 ADA restrooms downstairs and ADA shower room, top of the line commercial kitchen, HIPAA compliant electronic health records and data systems, surveillance system, courtyard, and full size elevator.

Turnagain Social Club also has our own transportation that will pick you up and bring you home after your fun filled day.

Our team is trained using the Brain Change model, Positive Approach to Care, person-centered care, CPR/First Aid, and various other programs that make Turnagain Social Club the finest in Anchorage! We work hard to create an environment that caters to the needs and abilities of all those whom we serve. Our staff attends to our member’s needs with grace, courtesy, kindness and understanding.
